Photography: Drips and Splashes Photos

Here is a selection of photos I've take of water droplets, splashes, and drips of water and milk. These pictures have been taken with a Pentax K-m Digital SLR camera. I used the standard kit 18-55mm lens for this, and set the camera up on a tripod. I found that even with very fast shutter speeds and ISO, the results still weren't satisfactory. Using the built-in flash gave much better results.

I filled a glass bowl of water and placed it an area with lots of available sunlight. The blue and red colours are simply blue or red trays placed beneath the bowl. I have cropped most of the photos using GIMP to remove unwanted views of the bowl and surroundings, and reduced the quality a bit for the sake of saving some of my precious web space!

The three tap dripping pictures were not taken at the same time, the three images in sequence is purely coincidence. Excuse the state of my tap!
