Derelict Chalkwell House Brantham
I've just been exploring the derelict Chalkwell House site in the industrial area in Brantham, near Manningtree. Thought it might make for some interestingly grim pictures. I think it's fascinating to look around deserted buildings like this. I don't know much about this place other than it was previously owned by "BX Plastics" or "British Xylonite Company" and has been deserted since 2007. I doubt it will be long before the place is pulled down.
I think Margaret Thatcher once worked here as a research scientist and lived in nearby Manningtree.
